Dear parents and students,

As the years go by, we have quietly stepped into the end of 2024. Despite it being the year's end, the school’s work and activities continue to thrive.

本月初，我們迎來了教師觀課周。為持續提升教學品質，早在十月初，我們就已為新教師組織了觀課活動。而此次，在12月的前兩周，校長與各科主任共同參與了觀課，特別關注了“分組教學”與“照顧學習多樣性”兩大教學技巧。分組教學旨在促進學生間的互動，使教師從傳授者轉變為引導者，為學生提供更多在小組活動中表達自我、處理任務的機會。同時，我們認識到每位元學生的學習方式存在差異，因此鼓勵教師採用多樣化的教學手段，以滿足不同能力學生的需求。值得一提的是，今年我們的教學團隊得到了顯著增強，幾乎每個班級都安排了兩位教師，這不僅增加了學生表達的機會，也促進了師生間的更多互動。

At the beginning of this month, we welcomed Teacher Observation Week. To continuously improve teaching quality, we organized observation activities for new teachers in early October. During the first two weeks of December, the principal and subject heads participated in lesson observations, focusing particularly on "group teaching" and "catering to diverse learning needs." Group teaching aims to promote interaction among students, shifting teachers from being transmitters of knowledge to facilitators, providing students with more opportunities to express themselves and tackle tasks in group activities. We recognize that each student has different learning styles, so we encourage teachers to adopt diverse teaching methods to meet the needs of students with varying abilities.
It’s worth noting that this year, our teaching team has significantly strengthened, with almost every class having two teachers. This not only increases opportunities for student expression but also enhances interaction between teachers and students.

在12月2日，我們成功舉辦了小一滿悅Fun活動，一年級的學生們表現出色，親子活動更是溫馨滿滿。家長們對此讚不絕口，表示看到孩子們不僅成長了許多，還快樂地適應了學校生活，感到十分欣慰。在此，衷心感謝家長們對孩子們的肯定與支持，讓我們繼續努力，為孩子們創造更好的學習環境。

On 2nd of December, we successfully held the Primary One Fun Day, where first-grade students performed excellently, and the parent-child activities were heartwarming. Parents praised the event, expressing their joy in seeing their children grow and adapt happily to school life. We sincerely thank parents for their recognition and support, encouraging us to continue creating a better learning environment for our children.

12月12日，第三十二屆聯校陸運會如期在沙田運動場舉行。當天，天氣晴朗，微風不燥，為運動員們提供了極佳的比賽環境。經過一天的激烈比拼，世界龍岡學校黃耀南小學脫穎而出，榮獲全場總冠軍。而在教師家長接力賽中，劉德容小學派出的兩支隊伍也在同學們的加油聲中分別奪得冠軍。

On 12th December, the 32nd Inter-School Athletics Meet was held at the Sha Tin Sports Ground. The weather that day was perfect, providing an excellent competition environment for the athletes. After a day of fierce competition, our school, LTY, emerged as the overall champion. In the teacher-parent relay race, our school also won first place with two teams, cheered on by our students.

緊接著，12月13日至15日，我們在亞洲國際博覽館參加了第二屆大灣區香港學校教育展。此次活動吸引了全港近300所學校參展，我們的辦學團體也積極參與其中，四所學校共同亮相。展會期間，人流如織，我們的攤位前更是絡繹不絕，許多參觀者對我們的學校表示出了濃厚的興趣，並要求進行即時面試。此外，我們還設置了校長訪談環節和學校介紹環節，吸引了眾多參與者。

Following that, from 13th to 15th December, we participated in the 2nd Greater Bay Area Hong Kong School Education Expo at AsiaWorld-Expo. This event attracted nearly 300 schools from across Hong Kong, and our school group actively participated with four schools showcasing together. The booth was bustling with visitors, many of whom expressed strong interest in our school and requested immediate interviews. We also set up a principal interview segment and school introduction, drawing many participants.

在12月13日，部分教師還前往會議展覽中心參加了學與教博覽展，展示了我們的STEAM課程及相關教學內容。四位學生志願者協助講解，他們的出色表現吸引了眾多參觀者駐足觀看，甚至引起了大學教授的關注與讚賞。此次活動不僅提高了學校的知名度，也讓我們更加自信地走向未來。

On 13th December, some teachers attended the Learning and Teaching Expo, where we showcased our STEAM curriculum and related teaching content. Four student volunteers assisted with explanations, and their outstanding performance attracted many visitors, even catching the attention of university professors. This event not only increased our school's visibility but also boosted our confidence as we look to the future.

12月19日，學校舉辦了名為“Holly Jolly Christmas”的聖誕聯歡會。我們安排了豐富多彩的活動，讓學生在寒冷的天氣中通過運動取暖。九個不同的活動地點讓學生們盡情享受樂趣。隨後，在禮堂的集體活動中，朗誦隊的表演、集體遊戲以及抽獎環節將氣氛推向高潮。最後，在流行的英文歌曲中，大家載歌載舞，共同慶祝這個美好的節日。在此，我要特別感謝家長們為我們準備了豐富的食物和飲品，還有老師們精心準備的燒烤大餐，讓這次聯歡會更加溫馨難忘。

On 19th December, the school held a Christmas party titled "Holly Jolly Christmas." We arranged a variety of activities to keep students warm through fun in the cold weather. Nine different activity stations allowed students to enjoy themselves fully. Later, during the collective activities in the hall, performances by the recitation team, group games, and a lucky draw elevated the atmosphere to a peak. Finally, everyone celebrated this wonderful holiday with song and dance to popular English songs. I would like to extend special thanks to the parents for preparing delicious food and drinks, as well as the teachers for organizing a wonderful barbecue feast, making this gathering even more memorable.

回想起2021年，我們在學校外牆上製作的聖誕樹雖然被戲稱為“最醜聖誕樹”，但卻因學生的參與和背後的故事而成為了網路熱點。今年，我們又有了新的創意和嘗試，希望大家能喜歡並給予寶貴的意見。

Reflecting on 2021, the Christmas tree we created on the school wall, humorously dubbed the "ugliest Christmas tree," became a viral sensation due to student involvement and the story behind it. This year, we have new ideas and attempts, and we hope everyone will enjoy them and provide valuable feedback.
